Every lesson at Palomas is taught by the captain herself. Atzimba has spent her life around horses and leads one of the most dedicated escaramuza teams in Los Angeles — training girls from their very first time in the saddle all the way to performing in full regalia.
Patient with beginners, exacting with technique, and warm with every family — she treats every rider like one of her own.

Time around horses can be calming and confidence-building for children with autism and other special needs. Our adaptive sessions move at your child's pace, with our calmest horses and you right alongside. Call us to talk about your child before booking — we'll make sure the session fits them:

How much do lessons cost?
$50 per hour — private, one-on-one, horse and equipment included. No experience or gear needed.
Where are lessons held?
At the Avocado Heights equestrian area (La Puente) — serving the whole San Gabriel Valley: Whittier, West Covina, Hacienda Heights, El Monte, Baldwin Park, Pico Rivera, Montebello.
Do you teach beginners? What ages?
Beginners are our specialty — kids, teens, and adults all welcome. First lesson covers mounting, balance, and basics at your pace.
